  To whom it may concern,

I’m writing to get an opportunity to work for an international non-profit organization.

Since 2000 my connection to volunteer activity or NGO job has started. I always had compassion for people in need, and became a volunteer for a Korean NGO, Refuge PNAN helping immigrant laborers and refugees who are looking for International Refugee Status including North Korean defectors in legal document preparation or adaptation to new life in Korea. Based on my language skill, I have provided translation or interpretation service for them and also taught North Korean defectors English as they did not normally learn English in NK. I also have been making quite a few long and short trips all around the world and some of those were planned only for volunteer activities. As very much interested in helping the disabled I volunteered to take care of the mentally disabled in some countries, teach disabled children and AIDS orphans in Africa and work in a care center for the homeless in France. What I gained from such experiences is realizing how different ways people live and, of course, becoming more understanding of different people in different situations, cultures, societies and languages, which I dare to say is one of the most precious experiences in my life.

As an ordinary office worker I was mostly engaged in overseas business as shown above. I served for GPS project team of Venture group of Samsung Electronics Co. where I was responsible for overseas communication and translation in GPS trade. Then, at QMS-Korea, a branch office of QMS-International, an international quality standard certification company, I reviewed and translated all documents related to quality assurance assessments and was in charge of communications and conferences between HQ in Melbourne and Seoul office. Lastly in KEB Technology Co. one of the leading COS providers in Korea, I was mainly responsible for achievement of credit card certification from international credit card institutions such as Visa and MasterCard since the company develops OS of chip for bank cards which would be supplied to national and international banks and financial institutions. The main projects I successfully performed during my service were card certifications from Visa and MasterCard, which cards were supplied to Hana, Shinhan and Kookmin Banks and KTF. Apart from the foresaid duty, I also supported general overseas businesses including participation in international bids and contracts with overseas corporations.

Personally, I’m open-minded and always willing to widen my personal and professional experiences. As a conscientious person, I will be very much happy to work sincerely where I get lots of knowledge and experience, keep good relationship with colleagues and others in a favorable atmosphere and also utilize my competence in language and international experience.

I deeply appreciate for your providing me with this opportunity.

Sincerely,

Kim Eunha
