To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing regarding the position available at your company.
During my undergraduate years I acquired a considerable cosmopolitan outlook as a Myanmar major and international trading minor at Busan University of Foreign Studies. I also learned interpersonal skills whilst working for government offices as an interpreter. I continued my studies in London at the Mayfair School of English completing a General English Semi-intensive course and Business Administration Studies at the Elite College. These experiences gave me great confidence in English communication and knowledge of general business procedures and how to carry them out.
In London I traveled to many European countries and held various part-time positions including McDonalds, a catering company, and a local pub. As a result of these global experiences, I felt more like a member of Western society. What’s more, my employers found me enthusiastic, diligent and quick learner.
I have more formal experience as an intern in Eunsung Electronics as an oversea sales representative for 5 months after graduating college. During that time, I attended “2004 Home Tech Show” in Köln, Germany for our company. It was a good experience in which I could meet many European buyers and secure orders for my employer.
While working for Philippine Airlines in Busan in the sales and marketing department since 2004, I have worked closely with hundreds of travel agencies and held many promotional events. By working in this environment and facing several challenges such as flight delays, cancellations and over-sales, I have been able to learn how to react quickly and find solutions to satisfy both the travel agencies and passengers.
Currently, I am operating the TAE-MNL flight twice a week as a Taegu branch manager and was able to achieve a 90% load factor for TAE-MNL in 2007.
I am quite certain that my qualifications and career interests would make me a valuable addition to your company. “Always aim to reach for the sky rather than for the top of a tree.” This is my favorite proverb. I hope to find more responsibility where I can use my analytical communication skills, interpersonal skills and enthusiasm in my daily work. I do not doubt this is the right position for me. I am ready to become an essential asset for your company.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my qualifications with you and I am looking forward to hearing from you soon. Meanwhile I thank you very much for considering my application.
Yours faithfully,
Dong-Soo Kim
